WHO WE ARE

Drone Intelligence is a strategic intelligence unit providing briefings, advisory, and market mapping for the autonomous systems sector. This website is operated from the United Kingdom.

DATA WE COLLECT

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily provide it through our contact form, newsletter signup, DI Pro subscription form, Decision Brief commission form, sector report purchase form, or brief commissioning form. This includes your name, email address, organisation name, role, and any free-text notes you choose to provide.

When you purchase a product (DI Pro, Decision Brief, sector report, or other paid product), Stripe processes the payment on our behalf and we receive the buyer name, email, billing details, and payment status from Stripe. We do not store card numbers. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to the payment flow: stripe.com/gb/privacy.

ANALYTICS AND COOKIES

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager measurement tags load after a denied consent default on every visit. Before you choose, and after Reject, analytics and advertising storage stay denied. Google may receive limited cookieless pings containing the consent state and basic page and request information for aggregate measurement and modelling, but the tags are not allowed to read or write analytics or advertising cookies.

Selecting Accept enables analytics storage, allowing GA4 to measure matters such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source, session duration, and ecommerce events. Accept also permits Google advertising storage, although ad user data and ad personalisation remain denied. It also loads Microsoft Clarity, which helps us understand usability through masked session recordings, heatmaps, clicks, scrolling, and page navigation. Selecting Reject keeps analytics and advertising storage denied and Clarity does not load. Ads data redaction and URL passthrough are enabled. We store your choice in your browser’s local storage and ask again when the policy version changes.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer. Rejecting there prevents further storage-backed analytics, unloads Clarity after a reload, and removes the first-party analytics cookies that this site can remove. Google measurement tags continue in denied mode and may send cookieless pings. Withdrawing consent does not erase analytics data already processed; contact us if you want to exercise a data-protection right.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on public forms and checkout starters to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. Turnstile processes browser and device signals for this security purpose. We do not use those signals for advertising.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

Form submissions are used to respond to your enquiry, deliver the product you have requested, or process the application. Newsletter and DI Pro subscribers receive periodic intelligence briefings via email. Purchase confirmations, receipts, and product delivery emails are sent in connection with the transaction.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data with the following processors strictly for the purposes named: Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional and newsletter email), Google (GA4 and Tag Manager usage measurement), Microsoft (Clarity usability analytics), Vercel (website hosting), and Cloudflare (Turnstile bot and abuse prevention).

EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

Transactional emails (purchase confirmations, receipts, brief delivery, purchase confirmations) are sent via Resend. Newsletter and DI Pro subscriber emails are also sent via Resend. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting paul@droneintelligence.ai. We honour all unsubscribe requests promptly. Transactional emails connected to an active order or subscription will continue until the order or subscription is closed.

RETENTION

We retain personal data for as long as is needed to provide the product, comply with legal and tax obligations (typically six years for UK financial records), and resolve any disputes. Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe. Stripe retains payment records for the periods required by applicable financial regulations.

Microsoft Clarity playback data is retained for 30 days. Clarity click and heatmap data, and labelled or favourited sessions, may be retained for up to nine months. GA4 event-level data is kept according to the retention setting in our GA4 property; aggregated reports may be available for longer.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. You may also withdraw consent and complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise a right, contact paul@droneintelligence.ai. We aim to respond within one month.
