ETHICS
Independent analysis, on the record.
Our analysis has commercial value only if it is independent of commercial influence. This page documents the rules we apply to keep it that way, and what we will disclose when that independence is tested.
FOUR COMMITMENTS
What we will not do.
These commitments are stated as exclusions because exclusions are easier to verify than aspirations. They apply without exception.
COMMITMENT 01
No paid placement
We do not accept payment, gifts, or hospitality in exchange for coverage of any company, technology, or jurisdiction. No briefing or intelligence page on this site has been commissioned, sponsored, or influenced by the entity it covers. We do not run sponsored content. We do not host paid press releases. Coverage is determined entirely by editorial judgement against the standards on our methodology page.
COMMITMENT 02
No equity in covered companies
Drone Intelligence and its operating entity, PB Digital Holdings Limited, do not hold equity, debt, or other financial positions in publicly traded or privately held companies that we cover. If this position changes in future, we will disclose any such interest on the relevant page and update this policy. We do not take a fee from any company we cover, in any form.
COMMITMENT 03
No paid analyst arrangements
We do not act as a paid analyst, paid commentator, or paid advisor to any company we cover. Where we provide advisory services to clients (described on our advisory page), those clients do not appear in our published intelligence as named subjects, and the engagement is documented internally with the editorial team to prevent any conflict influencing future coverage.
COMMITMENT 04
No reciprocal coverage
We do not arrange reciprocal coverage with other publications. We do not participate in coverage exchanges, link exchanges, or coordinated publication arrangements. When we cite another publication, it is because the source supports the claim, not because of any commercial relationship.
DISCLOSURE STANDARDS
What we will tell you.
The corollary of strict exclusions is clear disclosure where anything material to the reader’s judgement of our work does occur.
Source attribution
Every claim in our published work is sourced. The sources block at the foot of every Signal Dossier lists the primary documents we relied on. Where our analysis goes beyond what any single source states, we identify the statement as our assessment, in line with the confidence labelling described on our methodology page.
Inline conflict disclosure
On the rare occasion an item we cover has a connection to our advisory work, we disclose that connection inline on the relevant briefing or page. We will not publish coverage of an entity to which we are commercially connected without explicit, prominent disclosure of that connection.
Correction transparency
Substantive corrections are noted in a dated correction log on the affected page and flagged in the next edition of the Signal Dossier. We do not silently amend factual errors. The correction record stands as part of the publication.
Reader identity
We do not sell, lease, or share subscriber lists. Newsletter sign-ups are used to deliver the Signal Dossier and infrequent direct correspondence from us, nothing else. Our privacy practices are described on the privacy page.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Where the buck stops.
Drone Intelligence is published by PB Digital Holdings Limited, registered in England and Wales. The accountable entity for the application of these ethics standards is the publishing company. Editorial decisions are made by the Drone Intelligence editorial team and are not directed by any commercial party, internal or external.
If you have an ethics concern about anything we have published, including a suspected undisclosed conflict, get in touch directly. We respond to all substantiated ethics queries on the record.
