EXECUTIVE SIGNAL

This week's audit re-checked the prioritised comparison and tracker pages and made no corrections: reported funding talks for Anduril and Zipline remain unclosed, the DJI Ninth Circuit petition remains undecided, and the Air Force's Collaborative Combat Aircraft mission-autonomy competition remains open, with a single provider due to be chosen by summer 2027. The only tracker movement this week came from the regular content and research routines, not the audit: a sourced cash and certification comparison added to Joby vs Archer, a DARPA DICE programme status update, and a corrected delivery-drone payload specification.

SIGNAL 01 - JOBY VS ARCHER CASH COMPARISON ADDED

The joby-vs-archer comparison replaced a single rounded cash line with a like-for-like figure from each company's Form 10-Q for the quarter ended 30 June 2026: Joby held $2,263.8 million in cash, equivalents and short-term investments against Archer's $1,560.6 million.

STRATEGIC IMPLICATION

Readers comparing the two certification leaders now see both companies' cash on the same basis, taken from each company's Form 10-Q.

SIGNAL 02 - DARPA DICE PROPOSALS NOW SHOW AS CLOSED, NO AWARD LISTED

The DARPA DICE tracker updated its timeline so the 25 August 2026 full-proposals deadline reads COMPLETED rather than UPCOMING, and its key-facts table now states that no award appears on DARPA's programme page or the Grants.gov listing as of 25 October 2026.

STRATEGIC IMPLICATION

As of 25 October 2026, neither DARPA's programme page nor the Grants.gov listing shows an award or selection date; the tracker records the gap rather than estimating one.

SIGNAL 03 - A2Z LONGTAIL DUAL PAYLOAD SPEC CORRECTED

The drone-delivery-operators tracker replaced a single 'winch payload up to 5 kg' figure for A2Z Drone Delivery's Longtail Dual with the company's own two-configuration numbers: up to 2.65 kg over 15 km in dual-battery cargo configuration, or up to 5 kg over 18 km on a single battery.

STRATEGIC IMPLICATION

The entry also moved from the heavy-lift industrial segment to the multi-mission operators segment, matching the published BVLOS urban use case.

DRONE INTELLIGENCE ASSESSMENT

Our assessment: none of this week's three tracker changes originated in the freshness audit; all three were made by the publishing and research routines earlier in the week. The audit's own re-check of the prioritised pages required no correction.
